Millennials Are Sharing Things That Boomers Love Saying….Boomers Respond

Millennials on Twitter have been talking about things that Boomers LOVE saying . . . and, well, they aren’t wrong.  Here are the highlights:

1.  “I’m videoing this.”

2.  “Just nuke it” . . . when something could be warmed up in a microwave.

3.  “Phone tag.”

4.  “Sit here, I won’t bite.”

5.  “That’s the million-dollar question.”

6.  Calling it “the Covid.”

7.  Calling it “pot” . . . instead of weed.

8.  “Let’s see if this works” . . . when handing over a credit card.

9.  “So what’s the damage?” . . . after being given their bill at a restaurant.

10.  “Well, I guess it’s free” . . . when an item they want to buy isn’t ringing up.

11.  “In all my years.”

12.  Pronouncing all the L’s in the word “tortilla.”

13.  Referring to the “landline.”

14.  Saying “Not that there’s anything wrong with that” . . . when finding out someone is gay.

Boomers on Twitter have responded to the younger generation by sharing the things that Millennials LOVE saying . . . and clearly they HAVE been around a lot of young adults.  The highlights include:

1.  “Ditto.”

2.  “So I did a thing” . . . and the “thing” is something like:  They bought a desk.

3.  “Cuteness overload.”

4.  “I was ‘today years old’ when I learned [X].”  And it’s usually something silly like, “I was today years old when I realized that when someone says ‘hold your horses’ they’re telling me to be stable.”  (???)  Or “I was today years old when I realized Turkey was a country.”

5.  “Wait” . . . before EVERY random revelation.

6.  Saying how people “win” things . . . like “win the internet,” or “win TikTok.”

7.  “Booty.”

8.  “You must be fun at parties.”

9.  Saying “right” every 10 words when explaining something.

10.  “Mood.”

11.  “Oof.”

12.  Saying “And go!” when they ask for recommendations on anything.

13.  “Adulting.”

14.  Saying “I’m sorry but . . .” followed by something completely normal.  Like, “I’m sorry but why is this pizza so freaking delicious???”
