Good News: Soup Cans, Positive Potatoes, and Dancing Cops

Here are a few more Good News stories making the rounds . . .

1.  A cop in South Carolina pulled a guy over on Sunday for drifting into another lane, but he wasn’t drunk.  It was an older guy who’d just come from a dance hall, and he wanted to KEEP dancing.

Once they worked out the ticket stuff, he offered to give her a dance lesson on the side of the road, and she accepted.  Her chest-cam got it all on video.  (Here’s the video.)

2.  A guy in Minnesota says his Apple Watch saved his life.  He was outside his house when someone driving by hit him with their car and took off.  His Apple Watch immediately sensed the impact, called 911, and also texted his wife.

He ended up with a broken tailbone and some cracked ribs, but he’ll be okay.  The driver was a 17-year-old kid, who turned himself in later on.

3.  The Humane Society saved a stray kitten in South Carolina that got its head stuck in a soup can.  The photos they posted are pretty cute.  It was a can of Campbell’s Chunky, so they named him Campbell.

4.  A Facebook group called Random Acts of Crochet Kindness has over 240,000 members.  And they’re in the news, because all they do is knit or crochet funny items, then leave them out in public for random people to find.

Here’s an example:  Someone recently crocheted a little potato character with eyes and a mouth, and put him in a bag with a note that said, “You found a positive potato!”  (???)

They added a second note that said, “I may be a tiny potato, but I believe in you.  You’ve got this!”
