Watch a Skydiving Instructor Save a Freefalling Student

This happened back in July, but the video is making the rounds now.  A skydiving instructor wearing a helmet cam filmed the moment he had to save a student who was in a freefall and needed help.

He had to get close enough to grab the student’s harness and steady her, and that allowed her to right herself, and the pull the ripcord.

(Here’s the video.  She jumps out of the plane at 0:42, and he follows.  He grabs her harness at 1:12 but can’t hang on.  He grabs her again soon after, and that’s when he steadies her enough so she can pull the cord.)
