The Scariest Horror Movie Villains, According to a Study

There was a study conducted to find the 10 scariest horror movie villains of all time.  A “villain effectiveness score” was calculated by using the average number of kills and jump scares.  Here were the results and scores:

1.  Michael Myers from “Halloween”:  8.71

2.  The American Werewolf in “An American Werewolf in London” and in “An American Werewolf in Paris”:  7.74  (In “London” it’s the character of David Kessler and in “Paris” it’s Andy McDermott.)

3.  Kayako from “The Grudge”:  7.58

4.  The Death Angels from “A Quiet Place”:  7.1

5.  Mask Man from “The Den”:  7.1

6.  The Blob from, you guessed it, “The Blob”:  6.78

7.  The Creeper from “Jeepers Creepers”:  6.78

8.  Ghostface from “Scream”:  6.62

9.  Chucky from “Child’s Play”:  6.29

10.  Bo Sinclair from “House of Wax”:  6.29
