1.  For the latest, here are the CNNFox News, and Weather Channel feeds.

2.  Weather Channel hurricane nut Jim Cantore got hit by a flying tree branch while reporting.  He also got angry at some lightning, and a guy got blown into his live shot at one point.

3.  Weather reporters in baseball helmets seems to be a thing now.  (Here’s one video, and another.)

4.  Floridians knew the situation was serious when 21 Waffle House locations closed.  Waffle House is notorious for staying open no matter what.

7.  Video of the storm surge in Fort Myers from a camera six feet off the ground went viral.  (Here’s the normal view from that camera.)

8.  By around midnight last night, more than 2 MILLION people in Florida were without power.  In the Fort Myers area, 96% of homes didn’t have electricity, and the city was not able to respond to all the emergency calls coming in.

The mayor said people will just have to be patient . . . he added, quote, “You know, we did evacuation orders.  They chose not to follow them.  This is what comes with it.”

9.  The Tampa PD posted a video of a traffic light crashing to the road.

10.  If you need a break from the seriousness, BoredPanda.com put together a collection of Hurricane Ian memes.
