Here Are the Best and Worst Cities for Football Fans

The Super Bowl is less than a week away, and pretty much everyone will be watching . . . from the diehard football fans to the people who just really enjoy being disappointed by overhyped commercials.

A new study ranked more than 240 cities from the best place for football fans to the worst.  The rankings are based on the number of NFL and college teams and how they’ve done in the past three years . . . ticket prices and attendance . . . total championships in the teams’ history . . . and how popular the teams are.

The best big city is Pittsburgh . . . the best medium-sized city is Green Bay, Wisconsin . . . and the best small city is Tuscaloosa, Alabama.  (Which is home to the University of Alabama.)

The WORST big city is Louisville, Kentucky . . . the worst medium-sized city is Fort Collins, Colorado . . . and the worst small city is Valparaiso, in northwestern Indiana.

(WalletHub.com has the full ranking of all 240 cities, as well as a breakdown by size.  The city with the least engaged football fans is . . . New York City.)
