Good News: Old Dresses, Future Nurses, and a Best Friend Road Trip

Here are a few more Good News stories making the rounds . . .

1.  Two friends since kindergarten just headed off on a unique road trip to raise money for no-kill shelters.  They loved Power Wheels growing up, so they’re trying to set the world record for longest journey by toy car.

They each have their own, and they’re driving 500 miles down the coast of Florida, from Jacksonville to Key West.  You can pitch in by purchasing swag at their website, TheEarSocks.com(Here’s a video from Day Three.  They’ve been dealing with a lot of rain, and they’re already having car trouble.)

2.  A mom in Texas bought an evening gown at Goodwill for $15, and found out it was made by Jackie Kennedy’s personal designer.  It’s not clear how much it’s worth, but it might be custom-made and one-of-a-kind.  (Here’s a photo.)

3.  A guy in Oklahoma was out camping and accidentally SHOT himself on Monday.  But luckily, two future nurses were hiking nearby and saved his life.  They’re first-year students who were on spring break, and say it proved they chose the right line of work.  The guy should make a full recovery.
