Good News: Kind Cops, Strong Daughters, and Forever Homes

Here are a few more Good News stories making the rounds . . .

1.  Cops in Florida rescued a missing five-year-old girl with autism this week.  She’d wandered away from her home, and they spotted her from the air walking around in a swamp.

Check out the bodycam footage just to see how great they were with her.  They were excited to see her, and she was very happy to see them.  (Here’s the video.)

2.  A World War Two vet in Pennsylvania named Ralph Perkner turned 103 this week, and credits his longevity to having daughters.  He’s got three of them and told a reporter they’ve always made him “stronger.”

3.  This is exactly what would happen if I tried this:  A woman in North Carolina volunteered to be a foster for her local Humane Society and take pets in temporarily.

But as soon as she stepped foot in the place, she fell in love.  She walked back out with a dog named Rookie, who now has his forever home.  (Here’s a video.)
