Good News: Avalanches, Longtime Employees, and Great-Great-Grandparents

Here are a few more Good News stories making the rounds . . .

1.  A 84-year-old woman near Pittsburgh named Dot Sharp finally retired after working at McDonald’s for 45 years.  She remembers when they started serving Happy Meals in 1979, McNuggets a year later, and even the McPizza in 1986.

She’s been working the drive-thru for the past nine years, and customers love her.  So she’ll be missed.  But her granddaughter Dotty is following in her footsteps and also works at McDonald’s.

2.  Snowboarders in Utah saved a guy who got caught in an avalanche and buried under three feet of snow.  It’s actually the second avalanche he’s survived just in the past two years.

He says this one was a lot scarier than the first, and the near-death experience changed his perspective on life.  Going forward, he plans to spend a lot more time helping other people.

3.  A 101-year-old World War Two vet in Oklahoma broke down in tears while meeting his great-great-granddaughter for the first time.  (Here’s the video.)
