This happened Sunday night, but everyone was talking about it yesterday:

On the most recent episode of “American Idol”, a 21-year-old Texan named Trey Louis did a FANTASTIC version of “Stone” by Whiskey Myers.  But it wasn’t just his voice that moved the judges to tears.

After he sang, Trey revealed that he was a survivor of the 2018 mass shooting at Santa Fe High School that claimed the lives of eight students and two teachers.

Katy started crying, and then shouted, “Our country has [effing] failed us . . . This is not okay!”

Lioinel Richie and Luke Bryan got emotional, too.  And Lionel said, quote, “We have tolerated this for so long, too long.  It’s become the norm.”

On the bright side, Trey Louis sailed through to Hollywood.
