huge sinkhole swallowed part of a soccer field in southern Illinois on Wednesday morning.  No one was using it, so no one got hurt.  An official said the hole is about 100 feet wide and 30 to 50 feet deep.

The soccer complex was built in 2019 . . . on top of a limestone mine.  So it sounds like that had something to do with it.
