If these names sounds familiar, they should . . .

The Social Security Administration released its annual list of the most popular baby names in the U.S. . . . and the top two AGAIN this year are Olivia and Liam.

Olivia has been the top girls’ name five years running, and Liam has topped the boys’ list for SEVEN straight years.

Both Top 10 lists are pretty much the same, but one new boys’ name did crack the Top 10.  MATEO jumped from 11th to 6th, and Benjamin fell from 9th to 11th.

The 10 most popular names for boys are:  Liam . . . Noah . . . Oliver . . . James . . . Elijah . . . Mateo . . . Theodor . . . Henry . . . Lucas . . . and William.

The Top 10 for girls are:  Olivia . . . Emma . . . Charlotte . . . Amelia . . . Sophia . . . Mia . . . Isabella . . . Ava . . . Evelyn . . . and Luna.  (Mia jumped from 8th to 6th.  Otherwise, it’s unchanged.)

They also looked at the trendiest baby names.  Meaning the ones that saw the biggest gains over the past year.

The Top Five for boys are Izael, Chozen, Eiden, Cassian, and Kyren.

The Top Five for girls are Kaeli, Alitzel, Emryn, Adhara, and Azari.  (SSA)

(Chozen was a character on the last season of “Cobra Kai”.  Kaeli might be thanks to TikTok star Kaeli Mae.)
