Brandon Naff

Brandon got his start in radio at the age of 15 when he volunteered to work for free (AKA intern) for a station in Bellingham, WA where he worked part-time for nearly a decade. After realizing he was only good at drinking and talking, he decided to pursue a career in radio. In May of 2015, he loaded up his Silverado and he and his Husky, DJ, set out for eastern Washington to be the afternoon host on Q-Country.

Now, he’s settled in with his wife, daughter and two dogs. When he’s not working, you’ll find him fishing, hunting, snowboarding, boating, biking or playing softball, depending on the time of year.

WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
The west side of the mountains – Bellingham!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MUSIC? WHO ARE YOUR FAVORITE ARTISTS?
Growing up I listened to a lot of classic rock, AC/DC was my favorite and I learned to play the guitar because I wanted to be like Angus Young. Now, country is definitely my favorite because it’s such feel-good music!

ARE YOU MARRIED? HAVE KIDS?
I got married in Leavenworth July 2018 to my beautiful wife, Molly. We have a beautiful little girl, Julilette, who is way too much like her dad.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE FOOD?
Anything I can cook up on the grill. Well cooked ribs are up there.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE RESTAURANT?
Well it used to be Boomers – a little burger joint in Bellingham…but now you’ll either find me at Wok About or Buzz Inn.

WHAT’S YOUR GUILTY PLEASURE?
The TV show Gold Rush on Discovery. Never miss an episode.

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU’RE NOT PLAYING RADIO?
My wife and I like toI’m always hanging out with my husky DJ. We like fishing, hiking or hanging out at backyard barbeques. If I could take my dog to the bar I would…guess they frown upon that, though. If it’s Watershed weekend, you know where I’m at!

IF YOU WEREN’T ON THE RADIO WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING?
That’s a tough question because my first job was in radio (at the age of 15) and I have been doing it at least on a part time basis ever since. I worked at a call center for a time, so it’d probably be customer service related.

WHAT’S THE BEST THING ABOUT WORKING ON AIR AT Q-COUNTRY?
GOOD WEATHER! It rained a LOT in Bellingham. Now with all the sunshine it’s WAY easier to get outside and be active!

My dog is cooler than yours. Sorry.
