Movies That Are Better Than the Book They’re Based On

 Is the book ALWAYS better than the movie?  Turns out the answer is NO.  The website Literary Hub put together a list of movies that were BETTER THAN THE BOOK.  Agree or disagree, here they are:

1.  “Adaptation”,  2002

3.  “The Handmaiden”,  2016

4.  “The Maltese Falcon”,  1941

5.  “Station Eleven”,  2021 – 2022  (This was a limited series on HBO Max, not a movie.)

6.  “American Gods”,  2017 – 2021  (This was a series on Starz.)

7.  “A Simple Favor”,  2018

8.  “Jaws”,  1975

9.  “The Leftovers”,  2014 to 2017  (HBO series.)

10.  “The Godfather”,  1972

11.  “Cruising”,  1980

12.  “Die Hard”,  1988  (Yes, “Die Hard” is based on a book.  It’s called ‘Nothing Lasts Forever” by Roderick Thorp, and it came out in 1979.)

13.  “Big Fish”,  2003
