More “Good News” Stories from the Coronavirus Outbreak

Here are a few more good news stories from the outbreak . . .

1.  Older people have really had to be careful during the pandemic.  So a senior center near Houston has been doing drive-in bingo where everyone sits in their car and uses the radio to hear numbers being called.  And they don’t want people yelling out their windows . . . so when you get bingo, you just honk your horn.

2.  A 14-year-old kid in Tennessee has been raising money by bottling and selling his own vanilla extract.  He says he loves the stuff, so he’s just following his passion.  He came up with the name Vanilla Feeds Tomorrow.  Every bottle he sells raises enough to buy 42 meals for people who need them.  He’s bought over 27,000 meals so far.

3.  Texas has been hit hard by COVID-19 in the last few months.  But this week, hospitalizations dipped below 5,000 for the first time since June.

4.  It’s good to know we haven’t lost hope.  A new survey asked people if they’re feeling more optimistic or pessimistic about the rest of 2020.  And more than half of people who answered said they’re optimistic.
