More “Good News” Stories from the Coronavirus Outbreak

Here are a few more good news stories from the outbreak . . .

1.  Two long-lost sisters found each other because of the pandemic.  53-year-old Bev Boro works at a care facility in Fremont, Nebraska, and saw 73-year-old Doris Crippen’s name on her list of patients.  Doris recently beat the virus, and was there recovering.  They’d been trying to track each other down for years, but hadn’t been able to.

2.  Fewer cars on the road probably helped here:  A 63-year-old guy in Canada just broke a world record by riding his bike over 7,000 miles in one month.  And he helped raise over $250,000 for charity.

3.  A doctor in Colorado had to cancel his wedding because of the virus.  So he and his fiancée improvised . . . and got married on top of a mountain at 12,000 feet.

4.  A 24-year-old Los Angeles Dodgers super-fan named Austin Donley bought one of those cardboard cutouts of himself to sit in center field, and it paid off.

A homerun by Dodgers catcher Will Smith hit his cutout in the neck last Saturday.  So Will sent him an autographed bat with a note on it that said, “Sorry I hit you in the face.  Go Dodgers.”
