More “Good News” Stories from the Coronavirus Outbreak

Here are a few more good news stories from the outbreak . . .

1.  A group of teens in western Pennsylvania has been dressing up as elves and installing giant, inflatable snowmen in random people’s yards.  They were doing it at night to surprise people . . . and may have been worried they’d get caught and have to stop.  But people LOVED it.  So now they do it during the day, so kids can watch.

2.  A nurse in L.A. who’s fighting leukemia can’t work right now.  So her coworkers stepped up and donated their own sick days to make sure she keeps getting paid.

3.  An ice cream company in Canada is installing two more subzero freezers just to help store the vaccine.  They didn’t need them for ice cream but ordered them anyway because they want to help “in any way” they can.

4.  A woman in Houston who got sick found a bag of groceries on her front porch.  So she checked her security camera and realized her mail lady left them there after she found out she tested positive.

5.  A woman in the U.K. wanted to visit her mom in a nursing home but got on the wrong bus.  And she couldn’t be late or she’d miss her slot.  So the bus driver asked the other passengers if they’d mind a detour, left his route, and drove her straight there.

6.  Each vial of the Pfizer vaccine is supposed to have at least five doses.  But pharmacists realized there’s enough for six, sometimes seven.  So the FDA just announced those extra doses CAN be used.  And it could up the current supply by 40%.
