Good News: Wet Rabbits, Grateful Humans, and Seeing-Eye Dogs

Here are a few more Good News stories making the rounds . . .

1.  A woman in Rhode Island jumped into a river to save a rabbit during a Fourth of July celebration, and footage of it is making the rounds on TikTok.  She got a big cheer from the crowd, and then a boat picked her up.  She had a hard time climbing in but refused to abandon the bunny.

2.  Another new study found that being grateful can help you live longer.  It tracked almost 50,000 senior women, and found the ones who scored highest in gratitude tests had a 9% lower risk of dying from any cause.

3.  Syracuse University is working with a charity called Guiding Eyes for the Blind to let students train seeing-eye dogs.  Two students are currently training a one-year-old black lab, and a four-month-old yellow lab.

They’re allowed to live with them in student housing.  And they’ll be able to attend college basketball games to help them get used to large crowds.
