Good News: Stray Dogs, Heroic Cops, and Fatherly Flamingos
Here are a few more Good News stories making the rounds . . .
1. Multiple cops in Orange County, Florida dove into a lake to rescue a woman from a submerged truck. It happened August 8th, and they just released the chest-cam footage. The truck was fully submerged. They had to break the windows underwater to get her out. (Here’s the video.
2. Two male flamingos successfully hatched an egg at a zoo in England and are now raising the chick together. Zookeepers think they took over after another flamingo couple abandoned the egg. (Here are photos.)
3. A stray Labrador retriever tried to board a doggy daycare bus in Georgia last month, and then started chasing after it. (Here’s the video.)
It turned out the previous owners didn’t want him anymore, so another couple adopted him. They’re calling him Waylon, and he got his wish. He now gets to ride the bus to daycare with a bunch of new friends. (Here’s a photo. He’s the one on the right.)
