Good News: Lost Dogs, Wild Cats, and an Unlikely Mountain Climber

Here are a few more Good News stories making the rounds . . .

1.  A Las Vegas woman just got her dog back nine years after he went missing.  He’s an 11-year-old chihuahua named Gizmo.  A vet scanned his microchip and got in touch after a good Samaritan spent two months trying to catch him.

He’s apparently been living on the streets for the past nine years.  So he’s got some health issues, but he’s recovering.  People online have donated over $5,000 to help cover the vet bills.

2.  A lynx born at a zoo in Germany kept trying to escape, so they decided to just set him free.  A lynx is a type of wild cat.  They prepped him, so he knows how to hunt and survive in the wild.  He’s got a GPS tracker and seems to be doing fine so far.  They released him two weeks ago.

3.  Two years ago, a British woman named Sarah de Lagarde lost an arm and a leg in a terrible subway accident.  She got run over by TWO trains.  But she’s not letting it hold her back.  Next month, she’s heading to Tanzania to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro.  She’d be the first female double prosthetic amputee to do it.
