Good News: Friendly Neighbors, Brighter Days, and a Cat That Loves Dogs
Here are a few more Good News stories making the rounds . . .
1. A bunch of neighbors in Illinois lined their street to welcome home a second-grader named Judah Collins, who just beat cancer. He was in the hospital for over 100 days.
His local police department helped out and posted the footage online. They said, “With all of the bad going on in the world right now, it can be easy to lose sight of the tremendous amount of good going on in it right now too.” (Here’s the video.)
2. A place in Iowa called Big Grove Brewery is in the news after launching a new beer called Brighter Days to raise money for a mental health charity. A portion of the proceeds are going to a group called CommUnity Crisis Services.
3. A cat in Colorado named Fred got really depressed after his owners’ golden retriever Arthur passed away last year. He followed the dog everywhere, and they were inseparable. But he’s doing much better after getting a new puppy.
It’s another golden retriever named Sunny. Their owners say Fred’s still getting used to the puppy energy, but he’s back to his old self. (Here’s a photo.)
