Good News: A Quick Thinking 4-Year-Old, Pregnant Triplets, and the Oldest Person to Ever Go to Space
Here are a few more good news stories making the rounds . . .
1. A 12-year-old from New Jersey just became the youngest chess Grandmaster ever.
2. A dad in Florida was cooking in an air fryer when a short circuit caused a fire. And his four-year-old daughter saved the day. She was the only one who saw it. So she ran and got help, and a security camera got it all on video. (Here’s the footage. Scroll right for the second half.)
3. Three triplets in California are all pregnant at the same time. One of them is due next week . . . another next month . . . and the third sister is set to pop in November.
4. An 82-year-old woman named Wally Funk trained with NASA in 1961 and did BETTER than the guys. But she never got to go to space because she’s a woman.
But now 60 years later, that’s about to change. Because Jeff Bezos just announced she’ll be joining him on a Blue Origin rocket later this month. And she’ll also become the OLDEST person to go to space.
The launch date is July 20th. Jeff’s brother is going too, along with someone who paid $28 million for a seat. Jeff posted a video with Wally on Instagram yesterday, and she’s thrilled about it. He said “no one has waited longer” than she has.
