Good News: A Military Dad Surprises His Daughter, and a Peanut Allergy Skin Patch

Here are a few more Good News stories making the rounds . . .

1.  A few weeks ago, a military father named Douglas Hernandez surprised his daughter at her UNLV graduation.  He traveled more than 30 hours from where he was stationed in the Middle East.  His daughter, Pamela, didn’t know he was coming.  The two hadn’t seen each other in almost a year.

2.  On Monday, Florida deputies were struggling to remove an alligator from a highway . . . when they got some help from Tre Huntoon, a wildlife wrangler and a former cast member of the Animal Planet show “Gator Boys”.  (Here’s video of this chaos . . . though it looks like they’ve done this before.)

3.  Lowe’s is making a $6 million donation to Habitat for Humanity to support home repair and rehab projects across America over the next two years.

4.  A skin patch to combat peanut allergies in children under the age of 4 has shown to be safe and more effective than a placebo in advanced trials.  There’s no word when the patch may be cleared and made available for use.
