Good News: A Boater Rescues a Stranded Kayaker and the FCC Cracks Down on Robocalls
Here are a few more good news stories making the rounds . . .
1. A retired Airborne Ranger went out kayaking in Florida last month to fish and clear his head, but he got into trouble when his kayak started taking on water . . . three-and-a-half hours away from shore. He was stranded for HOURS treading water and trying to float before he was finally rescued by another boater.
And now, someone found and returned the backpack the guy lost on the sea.
(Here’s an UNCENSORED video from the rescuer’s TikTok. And here’s another video of him talking about it. And here’s the Ranger’s story.)
2. The FCC is FINALLY cracking down on those annoying auto-warranty robocalls, which are often scams. That said, the people behind these calls have purchased access to hundreds of thousands of phone numbers, so it won’t be easy shutting it down.
3. A banner plane crashed just off the California shore on Friday . . . but coincidentally, a lifeguard competition was happening nearby, and multiple lifeguards sprang into action and saved the pilot’s life.
