Today is “Giving Tuesday,” where we’re encouraged to give back to our community.
This is after Thanksgiving, when we give to our in-laws . . . Black Friday, when we give to huge mega-chains . . . Small Business Saturday, when we give to family businesses . . . and Cyber Monday, when we shop online, just like the other 364 days of the year.
A new poll asked people if they planned to donate to charity to celebrate Giving Tuesday, and 22% said YES . . . 43% said NO . . . and 35% said they were not sure. For what it’s worth, people under the age of 45 are much more likely to give than those 45 and older.
