Check Out the “America’s Got Talent” Contestant Who Spent 37 Years in Prison for a Crime He Didn’t Commit

“America’s Got Talent” returned for its new season last night, and we already have an early sentimental favorite.  His name is ARCHIE WILLIAMS, and he spent 37 years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit.

Archie was just 22 when he got arrested in 1982 for raping and stabbing a woman.  He was convicted the following year.  But in 2019, he was FINALLY exonerated by DNA evidence and released.

Luckily, it isn’t just his story that’s captivating.  His voice isn’t so bad either.  He got four easy yesses for singing ELTON JOHN’s “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me”.
